So I just got a lovely big box of my next Harlequin Presents Extra title One Night, So Pregnant... The story of party planner Tess Tremaine, billionaire CEO Nate Graystone and what happens after a torrid encounter in a restaurant closet leads to a life-alterating surprise for both of them! (actually I think you can probably guess what the surprise is from the title).
Anyway, I'll be doing two Goodreads Giveaways of this book, one for everyone and one just for readers in the UK and Ireland (when I get my Riva copies) as this book sadly won't be available in shops in the UK due to the current Riva relaunch. But it will be going Direct to Subscribers.
And I'll be doing a comp on the blog too at a later date. But until then, you might want to enter the first Goodreads Giveaway which is open to all! Good luck
So if you've read Ms James's erotic trilogy and have an opinion on who should play her seriously gorgeous, seriously screwed up (and somewhat kinky) billionaire hero Christian Grey, then come on over and have your say...
And even if you haven't read the books and are sick to death of hearing about them, I have serious eye candy in action to enjoy....
Hey all Just to let you know I'm doing a couple of free library workshops this week on How to Write a Mills and Boon to tie in with the So You Think You Can Write competition running at Harlequin (which has now gone global and is replacing New Voices in the UK). I'll be strutting my stuff at: Islington Central Library 2 Fieldway Crescent, London N5 1PF on Wed 19th September 6pm-7.30pm To book a place ring: Shari Green 02075276953 or Maureen Black on 02075276950 And Kentish Town Library 262-266 Kentish Town Road, London NW5 2AA on Fri 21st September 7pm-8.30pm To book a place ring 020 7974 8515 or email Peter.Baxter@camden.gov.uk So do come along if you have the time. There will be goodie bags I'm told! And I'm bringing along some free copies of my books too.
I finally have a sneak peek of my next Riva/Harlequin Presents Extra, One Night So Pregnant on my website... Have to say I love both the UK and US covers.
In case you don't know this is Tess and Nate's story. Tess appeared as Eva's meddling friend in The Good the Bad and the Wild and quite a lot of readers have asked me if I was going to write her story. Short answer: Hell Yes! And here it is.
It'll be out in December in the US and in November to Riva subscribers in the UK (and apparently on Amazon!). I will be giving away a few copies here and on Goodreads once I get my author copies.
Anyway, let me know what you think of the peek!
In other news I'm off to the AMBA lunch tomorrow and am looking forward to catching up with Abby Green, India Grey, Fiona Harper, Sharon Kendrick, Scarlet Wilson and a host of other great authors.... And I have Alabama friend Kimberly Lang staying with me at the moment. How cool is that? (plus I managed to extract a copy of Redemption of a Hollywood Starlet out of her - which is the last of her fab Marshall brothers trilogy and which I can't wait to read).
So, I've had a cracking summer this year, what with the Olympics and Paralympics in my home town, a great ten day holiday sunning myself and reading 50 Shades of Grey on the Cote D'Azur and then to top it off a completely AWESOME trip to Bestival on the Isle of Wight this weekend.
Both a couple of festival virgins, my sister Julia and I borrowed our mum's camper van and headed off into the wild blue yonder (wild being the operative word with no hot showers for four days!) and had an absolute ball. I've got pictures on my Facebook page, but highlights included New Order doing Love Will Tear Us Apart Again as an encore, Stevie 'Freaking' Wonder, Sister Sledge, Rizzle Kicks, Emile Sande (what a voice!), dancing all night in the Drambuie Lounge with wellie boots on (boy, did my feet ache), putting glitter on our faces and fairy lights in our hair, laughing are butts off on Dress Up Day (never seen so many fit blokes dressed as tigers!)... And the sunshine, which lasted all weekend and meant that most of those fit guys were bare-chested - in fact, Juls and I decided to rename it Chest-tival! Yum.
And to celebrate my fab summer I'm doing another Goodreads Giveaway. Now, this one's a little special. It's the Australian release of BTW I Love You which not only includes my linked books Surf, Sea and A Sexy Stranger and Cupcakes and Killer Heels, but also a reprint of my first ever published book Bedded by a Bad Boy. This story of motorcycle-riding bad boy Monroe Latimer and fiery English rose Jessie O'Connor is very close to my heart, for obvious reasons, and hasn't been in print since 2007...
So if you want to read the story that got me started, you've got til 11th October to enter.
Yippee it's happened, the Riva Relaunch is finally upon us and it's AWESOME.
The sparkling new look is much more in keeping with what the editorial has to offer readers: namely fun, flirty, sexy stories with feisty heroines, hot alpha heroes, glamorous settings and lashings of the sparky, snappy dialogue I love to write (and which I sincerely hope you guys enjoy reading!).
Anyway, I've stuck up the banner header in honour of the new look which lists all the books in the Relaunch. They're available from today on the M&B website and nine of the above (including mine) will be available in book form to buy from WH Smiths as of October 1st.
If you haven't already read my Riva Relaunch book Cupcakes & Killer Heels you're in for a treat. I loved creating this book and just to get you in the mood, here's an advert I found featuring gorgeous hero inspiration Henry Cavill (currently being hotly tipped to play Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades movie, no less) which I think gives you a heady taste of what Cupcakes has to offer. Although I'll admit the woman he's dancing with here is a bit too skinny to be my luscious cupcake baker Ruby Delisantro, Mr Cavill definitely does the business as Cameron Westmore, a dark, dashing and dangerous British barrister who's made a career out of his erudite way with words and yet has never been able to talk about his feelings - until our Ruby crashes into his life! And those glamorous London settings are also a feature of the story... Which is set in my home town (and which I am currently feeling mighty proud of thanks to our fabulous Olympic summer!)
Yum, delicious eh... Almost as irresistible as a chocolate cupcake.
We have loads of exciting treats on the blogesphere to enjoy in the next few months including the Love Bites on Youtube for the Riva Relaunch titles provided by the ladies at Romance HQ. And the lovely Natalie Anderson and Ally Blake have some really fun Riva-flavoured His and Hers blogs planned (with giveaways!) which my hero and heroine, Cal and Ruby, shall be taking part in.
And don't forget to Check Out the Riva App on Facebook - there's loads of great info on the books, the authors, a new blog and there's even a chance to win lots of Riva Goodies.
