Your chance to join an M&B Bookclub

Just a quickie to say I'm blogging on the PHS today about the new(ish) Sandra Bullock rom-com The Proposal, mostly about Sandra and how likeable she is (even when she's playing a bitch!) but also a little bit about Ryan Reynolds and his very nice naked bod...

Also, for anyone living in and around London who fancies joining a Mills and Boon bookclub. Check this link out

I've been asked to come talk about my November novel Public Affair, Secretly Expecting for the inaugural event on the evening of September 8th at the delightful Yumchaa Teahouse in London's Soho. There's a free copy of the book for participants. And let's face it, coffee shops are so last year... Tea and cakes is much more M&B don't ya think?

Anyway, more about that later.

'Say Yes to Love and Lust!!'

After a tip from my fellow Modern Heat author Nicola Marsh, I've discovered I have my second German book coming out. It's going to be Pleasure, Pregnancy and a Proposition which has the fabulous title in German of (according to the online translation) 'Say Yes to Love and Lust'! I love it, no beating about the bush there then.

Also discovered that the same book is out in the UK in January 2010 as a hardback. Fantastic news... I can't wait to hold my first ever hardback in my hands.

Finally had some sun here in the UK (and about time too). It's glorious here in Wiltshire, the heart of Thomas Hardy country... Which unfortunately makes it even more of a struggle to sit down and work on my ms. Still, at least this one is set in the summer. Got some fabulous tips about places to stay and see in Florence from some friends who lived there for years. Have to admit I'm kinda tempted to go visit and check them out for real (all in the name of research you understand)!!

PHS Must-Watch Friday

Hi all, just a quick note to say I'm riffing on He's Just Not That Into You today for my monthly Must-Watch Friday blog... A rom-com that's starts out as an anti-rom-com, but does eventually come into its own (and has some seriously hunky guys in it for compensation!!)

Also, in terms of film recommendations, I made a visit to the cinema with my 11-year-old son and his best mate yesterday (yes, it's still pouring with rain here in Blighty). They picked Land of the Lost — the new Will Ferrell adventure comedy — which I was okay with, thinking I'd have a nice snooze in the lovely air-conditioned auditorium.

Wrong!! Don't believe all the dreadful reviews folks, this film IMHO is a comedy classic, especially if you like your comedy zany, preposterous, completely stupid and ever so slightly deranged. Honestly, I nearly did myself an injury at one point I was laughing so hard. Will Ferrell is a genius. I may just have to stick it on Must-Watch Friday in the future even though it's not all that warm and fuzzy.

Ta-ta for now.

Sneak Peek Ahoy!

The sneak peek of Public Affair has been posted on my website for anyone who's interested.

Let me know if it whetted your whistle for more of the delicious Mac Brody?

(Can you tell I'm busy avoiding my current ms at the mo...?)

Feeling Hot! Hot! Hot!

Check out the cover for my November book Public Affair, Secretly Expecting which has just gone up on Amazon!! I'm fanning myself here, ladies. That guy is seriously BUFF! And they've even got the Hollywood sign in the background.... Because if you don't already know my hero Mac Brody is a movie star.... And my heroine Juno does actually wear a slinky red dress at one point, although not for long, I have to admit.

Big congrats to the marketing department at M&B who have done an amazing job.

And now I've got the cover pic, it must be time to stick up a sneak peak on my website. What d'ya reckon??
